The course deals with different approaches to conflict resolution and peacebuilding at domestic and international level. Therefore the course will be organized in three parts: 1. Crisis Prevention and Early Warning, 2. Peace Negotiations and Conflict Resolution, 3. Post-conflict Peacebuilding. By using and comparing various mechanisms and instruments of peacebuilding students will question its path-dependency and application. However critical aspects and problems will be discussed as well. The seminar will focus intensively on case studies and will be held in English. Priority is given to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but there will be several additional case studies. |
