EFL methodology is a basic component of students’ teacher training courses – initial stage – at university. As far as vocational schools are concerned, special approaches need to be considered. Project-based language learning, for example, requires authentic learning scenarios and authentic materials. In addition, learners need to be taught to work independently in a task-based learning environment. This course is especially designed for students studying “LA BK” and deals with Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in a vocational training college context. In this course students will prepare an authentic learning scenario and experience its applicability in a real classroom situation. The course thus consists of two parts: - seminar sessions with in-class discussions of EFL theory
- a visit to a school where theory is put into practice, including teaching a lesson based on the theoretical framework discussed
