We will discuss fictional and non-fictional texts on the different aspects of stereotypes, their use in language, literature, everyday life and the media. In group work and presentations students will be able to explore cultural, social and national stereotypes as well as to practice how cultural knowledge and awareness can be used in practical language training, i. e. in the EFL classroom.
