Since the Second World War British society has experienced many extraordinary changes. Ask any British person today what they do on a Saturday night with their friends and the answer will most probably be: "Going to the Indian". Curry 'n' chips has become a British tradition. It’s as British as fish and chips, and tea and scones. In this course we will be using a variety of texts, film and T.V. sitcoms to explore the topics of ethnic and social diversity in the UK. A reader will be available from Ewald Priebe Kopiersysteme, Segerothstr. 81. Students are expected to actively participate and are required to do a short presentation and to sit a final exam. |
