The current curriculum for the Oberstufe requires the teaching of Post-colonialism and migration with special focus on the post-colonial experience in India and the role of the New English Literatures. But how can we provide this cultural knowledge if we haven't experienced it ourselves? This course will introduce you to different fictional and non-fictional texts as well as films and music that will prepare you for the actual topic and will provide you with the background knowledge needed. In future, you may wish to use some of these texts in your classroom.
