This course will not – strictly speaking – teach you about Shakespeare and his time, but it will prepare you for teaching Shakespeare yourself. The “literary giant of the 21st century” is still a vital part of the school curriculum and teachers need to have the knowledge and expertise to teach his works in the classroom.
Hence, this course will provide you not only with the analytical skills you might need, but also with ideas to make your future lessons both enjoyable and illuminating for you and your students.
Please bring your own edition of the plays along to the course and ensure that you have read them prior to the first session.
A reader will also be provided. |
