Corpus Linguistics is a field of study involves, among others, teaching and learning, psychology, anthropology, sociology. In the course of the seminar, we will not only have a look at the history of Corpus Linguistics, but also analyse how Corpus Linguistics can contribute to solving real-life problems, e.g. corpus-based studies in order to identify the authors of texts. As the focus of this seminar is rather practical, active participation in a self-chosen project is an integral part of the seminar. A reader with all relevant texts will be available at the copy shop Reckhammerweg during the second week of term.
