The course “Sustainable Water Management” aims to provide essential aspects in the context of urbanization and water management. The lectures will, next to the legal framework, present aspects of water quantity and water quality management as well as ecological aspects in urbanized areas. Thus, interactions between water and energy, water and health and conflicts on the use of water resources will be introduced and discussed.
Using a case study, the students will apply the introduced knowledge. Different aspects of the case study will be analysed in small groups. Dependencies as well as restrictions will be shown and discussed. |
