Students will be speaking on a number of topics from the fields of literature, didactics, current events and indeed any topics which interest the thinking man or woman. Conversation will be encouraged in pair and group work as well as in more structured situations in which students need to operate such as lectures, presentations and formal talks. The focus will be on fluency, but every opportunity will be taken to improve accuracy and style. Students' performance will be evaluated by the quality of their output throughout the course and the quality of the presentations they make towards the end of the course. The seminar will be useful for any students wishing to improve their oral skills in their studies, for their professional life later or in a general sense. |
