The course is intended to introduce to the German academic system and to eth academic requirements of writing seminar papers in the German system. The course will cover topics such as types of academic text production, research logic and research question, referencing and plagiarism, systematic litearture search, software to administer references, the German grading system, standards of good seminar presentations.
The seminar will be complemented by a tutorial where students will improve practical skills in two smaller groups under the guidance of advanced MA students. |
