Course Objectives:

This course is an intensive, designed for non-native speakers of English who are planning to take the IELTS English language proficiency test. In addition to preparing students for the reading, listening, speaking, and writing portions of the exam, the course will also cover test-taking strategies and independent test preparation. The IELTS exam is an indicator of English language proficiency, and this preparatory class should not be seen as a substitute for coursework studying the English language. The course is designed to help students improve their general English skills and to maximize their exam scores. At the end of the course, students will have sharpened their English skills in the four aforementioned areas, and they will understand and have practiced the best ways to study for and take the IELTS exam.
