Is it possible to younger pupils to read literature in the foreign language? How can this develop their reading and literacy skills? And what is the value of children’s fiction in the foreign language class? This course will explore the didactics of Young Adult fiction in the Sek. I and Sek. II EFL classroom and will hopefully provide you with many creative ideas as well as the enthusiasm needed in order to teach these texts to your future students.
Students who would like to participate in this class should be willing to read the following novel (if possible – start reading as soon as you can, please!):
Neil Gaiman (2008): The Graveyard Book.
Please note that this is a blended learning seminar, so you’ll be working in groups both completing online activities as well as project work. |
