Dieser arbeitsintensive (!) internationale Blended Learning Kurs "European identity in the European Union: Focus on intercultural communication, language and gender" findet in Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen europäischen Universitäten statt. In vergangenen Semestern nahmen die Universitäten Köln, Bologna, Turku und die finnische virtuelle Universität teil. Die Studierenden sollten Zugang zum Internet haben, für den Kurs sind keine außergewöhnlichen IT-Fähigkeiten nötig. Sie müssen auch in der Lage sein schriftlich auf Englisch zu kommunizieren. Die Online-Plattform des Kurses ist Moodle. Hier werden Diskussionen in Foren stattfinden und Berichte veröffentlicht. Die Studierenden sind verpflichtet, regelmäßig an Gruppendiskussionen usw. in der Moodle-Lernplattform teilzunehmen. Im Laufe des Kurses gibt es verschiedene Fristen, bis wann bspw. ein Beitrag im Forum erbracht werden soll. Sie können sich Ihre Zeit selbst einteilen und jeder Zeit in der Online-Plattform arbeiten. Lediglich zu den lokalen Treffen in Essen sind Sie zeitlich gebunden. Die Teilnahme am Kurs bietet Ihnen ferner die Möglichkeit, internationale Kontakte zu knüpfen.
