This seminar focuses on the magnificent as well as versatile British author Neil Gaiman (*1960). A Storyteller par excellence, Gaiman invites us to see the world(s) anew. If you like fairy tales, fantasy, magic realism, postmodernism, this might be just the right seminar for you - but you have to be prepared to read a lot! We will have a close look at some of Gaiman’s short stories and discuss a few text excerpts of his masterpieces such as Stardust (1999), Coraline (2002), The Graveyard Book (2008), and The Ocean at the End of the World (2013) . You will find the aforementioned collection of texts and excerpts in the corresponding Moodle course, once you have successfully registered for this seminar.
