Inhalt: The course provides an initial overview of the economic systems of East Asia, i.e. the Chinese economic area, with a focus on the People's Republic of China. The focus is on an overview of the economic importance of the region for the global economy, as it has developed in recent times. In addition, an insight is given into institutional peculiarities that significantly shape economic success. This involves various markets, such as the labor and financial markets, but also the sales market. Specific organizational forms of companies are discussed, such as Chinese state-owned companies, and finally the role of the state in the economy is also addressed.
