Content: concepts of Bayesian statistics; application to data sets from biology; application to data sets of participants. A typical example would be the planning the sample size for an experiment to determine a treatment effect, and then quantifying that treatment effect after the experiment.

Software: access to https://bayas.zmb.uni-due.de/ with a web-browser.

For the exercises participants can use their own laptops, or (if they are members of the Faculty of Biology) zero-clients to access virtual machines. Room S03 S03 A05.
