How do we turn data into knowledge? And how do we know when our statistical methods mislead us? In this course you’ll rethink the foundations of quantitative research by moving from frequentist statistics to a Bayesian understanding of probability, information, and causality. Through hands-on exercises, you’ll learn how entropy, updating, and Bayesian models provide a richer and more transparent way of doing empirical research. The course is taught in English and requires working knowledge in R.
