This course explores how health and illness are communicated in an increasingly digital world. Combining theory with hands-on analysis, it offers pragmatic approaches to studying digital health communication across written, spoken and multimodal contexts. Students will engage with authentic data and existing studies from diverse health-related settings, including patient–provider interactions, public health campaigns, online health communities, and the dissemination of medical information on social media.
