Description: The physics lab course covers three essential experiments for modern physics and provides training on using basic lab equipment. The participants conduct experiments every other week (in groups of 3 persons) with an introductory lecture between experiments. For each experiment, a report with results of measurements and discussion must be written and submitted via Moodle. The report should inlcude the physics basics of the studied phenomena, the experimental setup, the measurement results, the analysis and the critical assessment including error analysis.
Learning objectives: The objective of the course is to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform physics experiments independently. The course covers the essential aspects of data collection, including the recording and analysis of measurement results, the identification of errors and uncertainty, and the critical evaluation of obtained values.
