This seminar provides a comprehensive introduction to qualitative research methods, including case studies, surveys, interviews, content analysis, and ethnography. Students will gain hands-on experience in designing and conducting qualitative research, developing practical skills for analysing complex socioeconomic issues. Beyond methods, the course explores the philosophical and epistemological foundations that inform research approaches, encouraging students to critically evaluate the assumptions behind method choices and move beyond the quantitative-qualitative divide. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to select and apply qualitative methods that align with their epistemological stance and research questions in academic or professional projects. |
