Biology deals with complex systems and processes. This module is about the quantitative modeling of such systems and processes by mathematical techniques.
Systems and processes could by the evolution of a viral quasispecies, the dynamics of a metabolic or regulatory network, the dynamics of different cell populations of the immune system, etc.
Methods include differential equations, graph based methods, game theory, etc.
The module should help students to understand these methods and to apply them to biological systems and processes.
