Economic Developments in East Asia (AEAS 2213) - Korea - Einzelansicht

This course reviews the dominant schools of thought in institutional theory, explores surrounding dynamics in institutional analysis such as institutional change and diffusion, and applies institutional theory to South Korean business system and management.

Students will be assigned reading materials weekly and prepare a response paper for class discussion. Active participation is mandatory.

At the end of the semester, a term paper is expected.

Activities in the seminar are structured as follows:

Participants are expected to be actively engaged in discussion on the weekly assigned academic papers. For this purpose, they prepare response papers of reading materials. Furthermore, case study on a weekly topic is presented and discussed. Finally, a term paper on a specific topic is submitted at the end of the semester
