- optics: geometrical optics: prism, lenses, mirror, Snell´s law, light guiding, imaging with simple instruments
- atomic physics: Bohr´s model, quantum numbers and their meaning, Franck-Hertz-experiment, X-rays, application of X-rays
- Solid State Physics (crystals, electronic structure, magnetism)
- Nuclear physics: electrons, neutron, protons, radioactivity, nuclear fusion and fission
