Since 2013, the RUHR LECTURE has been organized by the Institute of Geography at Ruhr-University Bochum and the Faculty of Spatial Planning at TU Dortmund. They are now joined by the Joint Center "Urban Systems" at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
This time, the Ruhr Lecture will be focused on the current research and objectives of the research fields of the UAR Competence Field Metropolitan Research. The research fields are ‚Urban Form, Society and Culture‘, ‚Mobility and Logistics‘, Urban Health‘, ‚Resilient Infrstructures‘, Transformative Governance and Participation‘, Urban Ecosystems‘, ‚Knowledge Metropolises‘.
Lernziele / Learning Goals:
Students are familiar with different approaches to the understanding, representation and management of urban and metropolitan research in different sectors and have an understanding of their interdependencies.
