<p>To register, please enroll in the Moodle module of the seminar here: <a href="https://moodle.uni-due.de/course/view.php?id=40018">https://moodle.uni-due.de/course/view.php?id=40018</a></p><p> </p><p id="yui_3_17_2_1_1679928715077_1345"><strong id="yui_3_17_2_1_1679928715077_1344"><u id="yui_3_17_2_1_1679928715077_1343">Overview:</u></strong> In this seminar, we will explore research works and literature on the topic of Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED) with an emphasis on technological aspects, such as AI algorithms, AI-enhanced learning environments and AI-systems that are used in formal and informal education. </p><p><strong><u>Process:</u></strong> We will work as one group with distinct individual contributions as follows: we will retrieve a set of recent research articles on the topic and we will read, review, and discuss these articles on the following dimensions: </p><p> </p><ol dir="ltr"><ol><ol><li>technology and implementation;</li><li>data and training;</li><li>evidence of the effectiveness of AI usage in education.</li></ol></ol></ol><p><strong>Outcome:</strong> We will co-create a set of digital artifacts based on our readings, including a wiki, a diagrammatic representation, a coding scheme, and a research article.</p><p><strong>Evaluation:</strong> Each participant will be assessed based on their contribution to the project's outcomes, and their involvement and investment during the meetings.</p><p><strong>Learning mode:</strong> Hybrid Blended-Learning. During the semester, we will have face-to-face and online meetings. Participation is required for all meetings. For the online meetings and working sessions, we will use <strong>Zoom</strong>. For the in-person, face to face seminars, we will meet in Room <strong>LF129</strong> (Campus Duisburg). </p><p><strong>Schedule:</strong> We will be meeting either in-person or online every Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00.</p><p><strong>Working Language:</strong> English</p><p><strong>Kick-off meeting: </strong><strong>Thursday, April 6th - in person (LF129)</strong></p> |
