Die Rhine- der weltweit größte Multisport-Event, finden vom 16. bis zum 27. Juli 2025 nach mehr als 25 Jahren wieder in Nordrhein-Westfalen statt (http://rhineruhr2025.com/de). Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games, nach den Olympischen und Paralympischen Spielen

An 12 Tagen werden sportliche Wettkämpfe in 18 Sportarten und an 23 Veranstaltungsorten u. a. in Bochum, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Essen und Mülheim an der Ruhr ausgetragen. Sie können diesen Event als Volunteer unterstützen. Dazu stehen Ihnen 26 unterschiedliche Einsatzbereiche zur Verfügung und Sie dürfen bei Ihrer Bewerbung drei favorisierte Einsatzbereiche angeben (http://rhineruhr2025.com/de/volunteer).

Ihr Engagement als Volunteer und Botschafter*in der Universität Duisburg-Essen und unserer Region möchten wir unterstützen. Daher richtet sich dieses Angebot an

• Studierende, die sich bereits als Volunteer beworben haben und an
• Studierende, die sich als Volunteer bewerben (nur bis 30.4.2025 online möglich).

Studierende, die bereits als Volunteers die Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games begleiten (mindestens vier Tage), erhalten nach Vorlage des Volunteer-Zertifikats der Teilnahme am Seminar sowie der Vorlage eines Abschlussberichts (s.u.) 3-5 CP im E1 Bereich Ihres BA Studiums.

Get involved volunteering course – FISU World University Games - 3-5 Cr.

The Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games, the world's largest multi-sport event after the Olympic and Paralympic Games, will take place in North Rhine-Westphalia from July 16 to 27, 2025, after more than 25 years (http://rhineruhr2025.com/de).

Over 12 days, sporting competitions in 18 sports will be held at 23 venues in Bochum, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Essen and Mülheim an der Ruhr, among other places. You can support this event as a volunteer. There are 26 different areas of work available to you and you can indicate three favored areas of work in your application (http://rhineruhr2025.com/de/volunteer).

We would like to support your commitment as a volunteer and ambassador of the University of Duisburg-Essen and our region. Therefore, this offer is aimed at

• students who have already applied as volunteers and
• students who apply as volunteers (only possible online until April 30, 2025).

Students who volunteer at the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games (at least four days) will receive 3-5 CP in the E1 area of their BA studies upon presentation of the volunteer certificate and a final report (see below). In connection with a successfully completed course to reflect on the commitment in the summer semester 2025, the seminar “Get involved - Engagement für Sport, Wissenschaft und Kultur” will also be certified with a certificate for your commitment.

Studienleistung zum Erwerb von ECTS-Credits:

Die Prüfungsleistung umfasst ein min. vier- bzw. siebentägiges Volunteering (für 3 bzw. 5 ECTS) sowie die Anfertigung eines fünfseitigen Erfahrungs- und Reflexionsberichts.

Um das Zertifikat über die Volunteer-Tätigkeit kreditiert zu bekommen, ist es erforderlich, dass Sie als UDE-Studierende*r erkennbar sind. Wenn Sie also die Registrierung bereits abgeschlossen haben und im Volunteer Portal keine Änderungen mehr vornehmen können, schreiben Sie eine E-Mail an volunteer@rhineruhr2025.com mit dem Hinweis, dass Sie an der UDE studieren. Dort wird dann Ihre Registrierung entsprechend angepasst.

The assessment includes a minimum of four or seven days of volunteering (for 3 or 5 ECTS) as well as the completion of a five-page experience and reflection report.

Important note:

In order to get the certificate for the volunteer work credited, it is necessary that you are recognizable as a UDE student. So if you have already completed the registration and can no longer make any changes in the volunteer portal, please write an e-mail to volunteer@rhineruhr2025.com with a note that you are studying at the UDE. They will then adjust your registration accordingly.
