Kommentar: | In this course, students shall adopt a thoughtful, critical position to the media and global education by learning about strategies that can move their future pupils to think critically about global problems and promote positive values in the EFL classroom. The strategies cover how to discuss bias, intercultural communication, controversial issues, stereotypes, and diversity, among other topics. All humans are citizens of the world, and teaching that fact to pupils in school can make them more sensitive to global issues and inspire them to look outside their own walls. Thus, this course emphasises the unity and interdependence of human society, developing a sense of self and appreciation of cultural diversity, affirmation of social justice and human rights, as well as building peace and actions for a sustainable future in different times and places. |
