Kommentar: | The seminar will address current challenges and perspectives of sustainable climate and energy policy at local level. It will convey an overview of acting capacities and boundaries of ambitious local climate action programmes and will identify interlinkages and potential contradictions to other relevant fields local governance. Depending on the interest and background of participants, the seminar will analyse local conditions of ambitious climate policies in EU, OECD and non-OECD countries. |

Bemerkung: | This course will be held from Dr. Ralf Schüle (ralf.schuele@uni-due.de). He has been an honorary professor at the Faculty of Humanities since 2019 and has been teaching in the study courses of Urban Systems since 2011. He is working at Bundesinstitut für Bau-, Stadt- und Raumforschung im Bundesamt für Bauwesen und Raumordnung (Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development within the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning). Please send for registration an Email to elke.hochmuth@uni-due.de. This course will be offered for students from UCCS and SUD (Urban Systems). This course will be accepted in Module 2B and 5B (UCCS) and in 3A (SUD).
