| Kommentar: | In this seminar we will study the change of meanings of expressions through time, in particular the change of meanings of English words, and analyse the cultural mechanisms that that lie behind those changes. We will also concentrate on how the meanings of English and German words, which are etymologically related, have drifted apart.
