The 20th century is a century that entailed groundbreaking revolutions in the literary world, from the Modernist period to Postcolonial Theory and Gender Studies, moulding and re-shaping the definition of both literature and text, the author and the reader, leading to the diversity in approaches and readings that are prevalent today. The seminar familiarises students with crucial writings of 20th century Anglophone Literature in prose, drama and poetry, including analyses of modernist, post-modern and contemporary texts.
