This class is going to prepare UDE English teacher education students for their mandatory stay abroad. Selected theoretical and practical aspects from various areas of Anglophone studies will be employed to help students develop their intercultural competences and awareness as well as their critical diversity literacy. Furthermore, the class is meant to train skills that are needed to critically reflect upon intercultural experiences so that students can maximize the benefit of their intercultural encounters both during their stay abroad and beyond. Please make sure to take this class BEFORE you plan your stay abroad - it is not necessary to already have exact plans for the stay abroad/project in order to join this class, and it is not exclusively a preparation for a stay abroad, you will be applying the above mentioned aspects right here as well.

By the first week of classes, a Reader will be available at the copy shop located at Reckhammerweg 4, and our moodle page for this semester's class will be activated.
