This course provides an overview of some of the most debated questions in recent analytic aesthetics and philosophy of art. Topics to be discussed incude the nature and value of art, the nature of psychological responses to artworks, and the metaphysics of specific forms of artworks such as fiction, photography, and music.
This course will be a seminar taught in English, and will consist mainly in discussion on assigned readings. Active engagement with the texts and participation in class are essential. |
