Abstract: Online Social Networks (OSNs) like Instagram or Twitter have acquired an important role in the way people create and maintain social relationships with each other. In terms of privacy, these digital platforms have redefined and blurred the traditional boundaries between public life and intimacy. Despite growing efforts in the development of privacy-enhancing technologies (e.g., access-control lists, two-factor authentication, etc.), current approaches do not yet account for multiparty privacy conflicts arising within these platforms. That is, for situations in which users aim to share content that may compromise other people's privacy (e.g., when sharing a group photo or installing nonsecure social apps). The goal of this praxis project is to elaborate on methods and tools for the identification and resolution of multiparty privacy conflicts in OSNs. Particularly, participants are expected to work in groups in the development of a software solution (e.g., app prototype, web application) implementing such methods and tools.
The Praxisprojekt starts on the 22.04.21, 14:00-16:00. The event will take place weekly at Big Blue Button in the Moodle course of the same name. Please register at the LSF or send an e-mail to nicolas.diaz-ferreyra@uni-due.de |
