Kommentar: |
Victorian fiction is great! Because here, we are getting adventure, gore, and monsters. In a world that seemed to become smaller (because more and more parts were explored and the blank spots on the world maps were erased), some Victorian adventures started seeking new worlds in space, in time, or inside the earth. In this seminar we will have a look at depictions of new worlds (and their inhabitants) in a colonial context. Literature will be made available. |
