Module & Course Outline DA 1:
The two courses will introduce students to examples of how East Asia (or an individual country of the region) is dealt with and used as an object of academic investigation in sociology and political science. The goal is to strengthen students' understanding of both the disciplines and the socio-political aspects of the region. Both courses will begin with a general introduction into the societies and political systems of the region and then discuss peer reviewed articles from the two disciplines on selected topics.
