The lecture teaches students how to design and evaluate systems that help humans to cooperate and collaborate with each other. It provides an overview of the research area Cimputer Supported Coperative Work (CSCW). After completing the module, the students have learned principles of designing CSCW systems and know the most important technical methods for supporting social interaction. They are able to critically discuss CSCW systems as well as to design and evaluate them.
In particular, the lecture covers these and more topics:
- Basics of human communication, cooperation and coordination
- Paradigms and concepts of computer-mediated group work
- Case studies for IT support of cooperative work
- Specific cooperation support such as Social Media, Augmented Reality, Meeting Support
- Analysis and Design of User Interfaces for Groupware
- Introduction and evaluation of CSCW systems
- Practical application of lecture contents in accompanying project tasks
Information zur Belegung im Masterstudiengang Angewandte Kognitions- und Medienwissenschaft im Sommersemester 2023: Diese Veranstaltung ist aktuell noch nicht in der Prüfungsordnung aufgeführt, soll aber zukünftig in den Katalog "Grundlagen der Informatik" aufgenommen werden. Wenn Sie nach dem SoSe 2023 noch mindestens ein weiteres Semester studieren, können Sie das Fach bereits jetzt als Zusatzfach belegen und es sich nach Veröffentlichung der PO-Änderung für den Katalog anrechnen lassen. |
